The 22nd Film Festival With a Woman's Name is held from 17 to 21 February, in three different scenarios.
A week in which Dos Hermanas is once again highlighting the Auteur Cinema a great cinema made by women directors, scriptwriters, production and recording technicians..., conveying original stories that offer new perspectives on the world and social relations, with six long and five short filmsThe films have won awards at different national and international festivals, with very diverse genres and themes.
Opening by invitation, of the Delegation of Equality, will be held on 17 February at 19:30h., in the Juan Rodríguez Romero Municipal Theatrewith the Show 3,2,1,...Actionby the Diego Garrido Company and a screening of the film "I am Nevenka"., by Icíar Bollaín.
For the rest of the screenings, some of them in original version with subtitles, the Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
In the La Almona Cultural Centre on the 18th and 19th, at 19:30h, in the heart of the historic centre.
And in the Social and Cultural Centre Miguel Delibes Municipal Library of Montequinto, on the 20th and 21st, at 19:30h.
This 22nd edition will include a special space reserved for the Spanish cinema with titles such as "I am Nevenka".by Icíar Bollaín or "The infiltratorby Arantxa Echevarría, nominated for 13 Goyas; and the space "With an Andalusian accentwith the debut of Paz Vega and her film "Rita. The event will also offer international cinema with co-productions from France and the United Kingdom, India, the Netherlands and Italy.
There will also be special morning screenings for secondary school pupils.
